I have been teaching high school Visual Arts for 32 years. I have a BA degree in Art Education from Queens University, Charlotte, NC and a MAE degree in Art Education from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC. I am also Nationally Board certified in Art. It is very important to me to be not just an art teacher but to be an artist as well. I am actively involved in creating my own works of art and love painting in watercolors, acrylics, and oils. I am also a member of my church choir and love singing. Some of my other hobbies are writing and taking brisk walks through my neighborhood. I believe that art is essential to every child's upbringing and that it helps every child grow into a well rounded and creative adult.
